In this post, Iโ€™m sharing my favourite book tropesโ€”those familiar yet exciting storylines that always pull me in.

What is a book ‘trope’?

A book trope is a common theme, character type, or plot pattern that shows up across different stories. Tropes help set expectations and make stories feel familiar. Some can feel overused, but a good writer can add a fresh twist to make them shine.

Great post, I love enemies to lovers too, it’s so addictive when crafted well ๐Ÿ˜ I also love a forbidden romance and need to try more grumpy/sunshine books as A Dark & Drowning Tide had that kind of dynamic and I adored it. Romance is a genre I really need to try and get into so a few of these titles are on my must read list as well.

Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, love enemies to lovers and forbidden romance! I find that grumpy/sunshine books are typically in the romance genre so I’m always looking for others to try. Glad to see you’ve found some romance books from this post that you’d want to try <3

I’ll try to remember to tell you if I find any others that fit that trope. I know I have some on my TBR but I can’t remember which they were off the top of my head ๐Ÿ™ˆ thank you.
