Book Synopsis:
When a group of tabletop role-playing gamers suddenly find themselves pulled into their own fantasy campaign, the adventure stops being imaginary and starts being a matter of survival. Thrown into a world filled with monsters, magic, absurd dangers, and enemies far beyond their level, these unlikely adventurers must figure out how to stay alive long enough to find a way home.
But this is not the polished fantasy epic they imagined. This is their game world―complete with ridiculous choices, bizarre characters, unpredictable rules, and all the chaos that comes from years of questionable decisions around the gaming table. As the party stumbles from one disaster to the next, they must rely on teamwork, quick thinking, and a little bit of luck to survive the fantasy world they helped create.

Book Review
*I was kindly gifted a copy of this book in exchange for taking part in this blog tour, but all opinions remain my own.
I had never heard of James Mascia before, but when I saw the title, the cover, and then read the blurb, I thought that it sounded like a graphic novel that would very much appeal to me. And I can confirm that it did! I am a sucker for anything Dungeons & Dragons, so I knew I was probably going to enjoy this. This is my first time reviewing a graphic novel, so my review may be a little short. However, that being said, I really can’t find anything bad to say about this!
I loved all of the characters right from the very beginning, and I really enjoyed how cleverly the author pieced the story together. It’s hard to say if I have a favourite character because I feel like they all brought something different to the story. They were all hilarious in their own ways! This graphic novel had me giggling throughout, and because I play D&D myself, I understood a lot of the references and humour, which made it even more enjoyable for me.
I think what I enjoyed most was how quickly I became invested in the characters and their story. There was plenty of humour, but there was also enough going on to make me curious about where everything was heading. By the end, I definitely found myself wanting more, which I think is a great sign!
It feels like the plot has now been established and we know the characters and the world, so I am really excited to see where the story goes from here. I am definitely interested in continuing with the series and seeing what happens next!
