Fantasy Books on my TBR

Fantasy Books on my TBR

Seeing as it’s Tuesday, I thought I would do a little TBR Tuesday post!

If thereโ€™s one section of my bookshelf thatโ€™s starting to pick up in numbers, itโ€™s the fantasy TBR… I donโ€™t know what it isโ€”maybe itโ€™s the promise of magic or just the thrill of escaping into a completely different world. I keep adding more and more to the list, even when I know I wonโ€™t get to them all soon.

Some of these books have been sitting on my shelf for way too long, others are newer additions Iโ€™m super excited about. They all have one thing in common: theyโ€™re calling to me. I figured Iโ€™d share a few of the fantasy reads currently waiting their turn. Maybe youโ€™ll spot a favourite, or find something to add to your own list.

Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree – I don’t know why I keep putting this one off seeing as though I gave the first in the series a 5 star. Maybe this will be an autumn read for me considering he has another one in this series releasing during that time.

The Spell Shop by Sarah Beth Durst – Everyone keeps telling me I will love this and part of me believes them… I think I’m just scared because I’ve got such high expectations and I don’t want to be let down.

Paladin’s Grace by T. Kingfisher – A recent addition to the TBR that I’m very excited to get to! Definitely need to prioritise reading it by the end of the year.

A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher – The older book on my TBR out of the 2 Kingfisher’s I have. This seems like it will be such a fun read so I don’t know why I’m not reaching for it…

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas – I think the reason I’m avoiding this one is because of how THICK it is. I enjoyed the first one and everyone keeps telling me this one is even better… I need to be brave and commit to it soon.

Powerless by Lauren Roberts – I have seen so many mixed opinions regarding this series which is why I keep putting it off… I need convincing to read it otherwise I feel it will keep gathering dust.

The Glass Dagger by Kelsey L. Robinson – I picked this one up not knowing much about it when I was looking for Disney retellings. It’s YA so I should like it… hopefully.

Hunted by Meagan Spooner – I picked this up at the same time as the other when looking for Disney retellings. Again, this one is also YA so I don’t know why I haven’t picked it up yet.

What would you prioritise off this list?
Have you already read any of the ones I’ve mentioned? If so, what did you rate them?

I’d be prioritising ACOMAF, I gave it a solid five stars!

I was going to try and read it during the 6 weeks off but life got in the way and then I ended up reading Iron Flame instead.. it’s definitely high on my TBR though!

Powerless and Hunted are still on my TBR list! Mist and Fury is my favorite of all the ACOTAR books!!

I need to try and get to them both really soon otherwise I fear they will just keep getting put at the bottom.. also I’m very excited to get to ACOMAF!

I am really bad about pushing books off. I get it!

I haven’t even read Legends & Lattes yet so you’re ahead of me there, although I have read all the ACOTAR books and recently got to Spellshop too. Paladin’s Grace is a recent addition to my TBR too (I keep seeing it everywhere thanks to the new covers) and this post reminded me that I also have Hunted on my shelves (I think ๐Ÿค” now I’m doubting myself as I could be getting mixed up with the Rosamund Hodge ones I got. I’m going to have to check ๐Ÿ˜‚). I hope you enjoy all of these whenever you get to them.

Oh my gosh, you need to read Legends & Lattes ASAP! (I have a review for it on my blog but spoiler… it was a 5 star!) I need to step up my ACOTAR game and get to ACOMAF soon-going to try and get to it in the autumn months along with Spellshop. Thank you, I hope you enjoy the fantasy books you have on your TBR also ๐Ÿ™‚

I definitely hope to get to it soon. Hopefully I’ll manage to catch up before the new one releases ๐Ÿคž I hope the sequel ends up being a five star read for you too. Thank you. I hope you enjoy reading those too.

Impressive TBR! You’re going to love ACOMAF, and get so absorbed into the story that you won’t even notice the length, just where the tissue box is when SJM rips your heart out of your chest. I really loved Legends and Lattes, but didn’t enjoy Bookshops and Bonedust as much. I really do need to get around to reading The Spell Shop too – it seems like cozy fantasy, which is typically my preferred reading in the autumn. Either way, I hope you love them all when you get to them!

I am very excited for ACOMAF!! And oh no, I hope Bookshops & Bonedust doesn’t disappoint me now… Yeah I’m also saving Spellshop until the autumn months too. Thank you, I hope you enjoy reading whatever is on your fantasy TBR ๐Ÿ™‚

I doubt B&B will disappoint you – people were raving about it so much that I think I’m an outlier. Hopefully your fantasy TBR is all 5 star reads!
