Q1 2026 Reading Wrap-up

Q1 2026 Reading Wrap-up

Thereโ€™s something quietly satisfying about looking back at a few months of reading. As Q1 is now wrapped up, Iโ€™ve taken some time to dig into my reading stats: new-to-me authors, monthly favourites, and my 5 star reads. This isnโ€™t just a numbers recapโ€”itโ€™s a snapshot of my reading life so far this year.

Stats

I have been trying to get into reading more on my kindle this year and listening to audiobooks–not doing too bad so far. I’ve managed to read 13 physical books, 8 kindle books, and 7 audiobooks. These put me at a total of 28 books which is almost halfway through my reading goal for the year!

January has always been a good month for me in terms of reading, I always seem to read the most in the start of the new year. I read 13 books in January, 9 books in February and 6 books in March!

Through audiobooks I’ve managed to listen to 59 hours and 15 minutes of reading. With my physical and kindle books combined, I’ve managed to read 5386 pages.

New-t0-me Authors

I always love discovering new authors and exploring new books! I’m proud to say that so far I’ve managed to discover 18 already in the last 3 months (3 male and 15 female). Some I will definitely be revisiting and some that I won’t…

  1. Isabelle Taylor
  2. T. Kingfisher
  3. Chantelle Mathewson
  4. Heather Morris
  5. Chris Wraight
  6. Tiffany Schmidt
  7. Sarah Adams
  8. Samantha Hartwood
  9. Michael Wood
  10. Abby Jimenez
  11. Cara Bastone
  12. Ruth Jones
  13. James Corden
  14. Christina Lauren
  15. Hannah Bonam-Young
  16. Kate Leone
  17. Jennie Godfrey
  18. Dot Hutchison

5 Star Reads

I haven’t had that many 5 star reads so far this year… I’ve had 3 that were new reads and 2 that were re-reads. The 3 on the top row are all new reads and the 2 on the bottom are my re-reads!

Monthly Favourites

I like to track my monthly favourites so that throughout the year they can compete against each other to find the #1 at the end of 2026.

What Fable and StoryGraph say…

It’s clear to see that I have been deep in my romance era for the start of 2026 and I think Fable have summed me up as a reader so far perfectly. My ratings have been all over the place but it’s looking close to a 4 star being my average rating.

How many books did you manage to read during Q1 of 2026?

WELCOME

This is my cosy corner of the internet dedicated to all things books. I am an avid reader of mainly romance, fantasy, YA and mystery/thriller books. I hope to connect with other readers who share the same love for books that I do!
