I stumbled upon this book tag from Katy’s Archived posted and I knew I had to take part! She mentioned that the original creator is The Book Belle over onYoutube! I’ve only really started to appreciate the season of Autumn more as I’ve gotten olde. My birthday falls in an Autumn month as well. I much prefer when it starts to get cooler and I love that the trees leaves are changing to the reds, oranges and browns. I also just love the aesthetic that the autumn months give.
Lets get into the questions shall we 🙂 I will be following the layout from Katy’s Archived (I know she removed a question so that is what I’ll be doing too).
1. What book always reminds you of autumn/fall?

I read this book back in 2020 but Hocus Pocus absolutely screams autumn to me with it’s witchy vibes and plus it’s set on Halloween!
2. What is your favourite autumnal book cover?

This is a fairly new purchase for me as I never really used to read books set in specific seasons but I’m trying to this year and I absolute love this cover! The pumpkins along with the colours in the background is lush.
3. What is your favourite autumnal drink to read with?
I’ve never really been big on hot drinks but when I’m in the mood I would definitely choose a hot chocolate with some whipped cream and marshmallows on the top. Very basic but an absolute classic choice to choose.
4. Do you prefer to read late at night or early in the morning?
I am not a morning person at all so I much prefer to read late a night, especially when I am winding down ready for bed. I will read in the day as well but I definitely cannot pick up a book early in the morning. I’d rather be snuggled in bed during the evening with my book.
5. What is the ultimate comfort read for you?
During this time of year I find myself gravitating towards more cosy fantasies or just a cute romance book. I also like to read some manga if I am wanting something quick. I am trying to get into reading more seasonal reads so I have a few autumn reads to get to this year.
6. What is your favourite autumnal reading snack?
I don’t typically eat whilst I’m reading but if I’m really in the mood for a snack then I typically go for a good biscuit if there are any in the house — normally it’s chocolate hobnobs or digestives.
7. What is your favourite autumnal candle to burn whilst reading?
I actually can’t burn candles because I have asthma and something about it sets my chest off. I’m really gutted about this because I love the idea and aesthetic of burning a candle whilst reading but I just can’t otherwise I end up STRUGGLING 🙁
8. When you’re not reading, what is your favourite autumnal activity?
I don’t really have many hobbies apart from reading but I do love being cosy in bed binging a good TV show. I also cross-stitch from time to time but I’ve really been lacking in that lately…
9. What is on your autumn/fall reading list?
I do have a post mentioning about the books I want to read so feel free to check it out here. However, if not, here are the books I am wanting to try and get to this autumn… Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice by Katie Cicatelli-Kuc, Autumn Wishes and Fireside Kisses by Rosie Green, Sally’s Lament by Mari Mancusi, The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst, My Vampire Plus-One by Jenna Levine and Last Rites by Ozzy Osbourne.

I have no idea who to tag so if you see this post and it’s something that you’re interested in doing, feel free to do so! Considered yourself tagged, I suppose.
