The Struggles of Completing Book Series…

Series In Progress – 23

Series DNF’d – 30
Series Finished – 7
Total Series Started – 60 (including DNF’s, In Progress and Completed)

There are a couple of series that I am halfway through (but I need to buy the next books). There is one that I am procrastinating on ‘finishing’ which is Onyx Storm [The Empyrean Series] because I recently found out it is no longer a trilogy. Therefore, I’m not rushing to read that one until I have a release date for the next.

With there only being a few months left of the year, I’m hoping to chip away a little more on the series I still have in progress. I will also be trying not to start any new ones. Although there is a slim chance that will happen as I start new series without realising sometimes..

How many series are you in the middle of? Have you DNFโ€™d any? How many have you completed?

Life’s too short to get stuck into too many series!

I put together a series tracker spreadsheet earlier this year, and while I have quite few series in progress, it also wasn’t quite as bad as I anticipated! I’m planning to spend a month before the end of the year focusing on making some progress in series (there are definitely some duologies I could finish!) To try to move things along a bit…

that sounds like a great idea! I’m trying to chip away at some of my series every month but I may have started another one for my last read of the month.. tehe ๐Ÿ™‚

Series I DNF’d- only one (Queen of the Tearling- first book was disliked because the action started way way way too late so I decided to not continue into the other books)

Series in the Middle of- one (only because waiting on the other books to debut)

Series I completed- don’t know exactly (might take a while to count up that exact number)

I’ve never heard of the Queen of the Tearling series…
Ooooh which series are you waiting on?
Haha, you have probably completed more than me then by the sounds of it!

Nevermoor- originally a trilogy, but now 9 books so the others havenโ€™t debuted

Ohhhh okay ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m waiting on the release date for the next book in the Empyrean Series before I read Onyx Storm!

The slight problem with Nevermmor is that I have to own them all in paperback——meaning having to wait longer

        Series I have Finished:

        1. Harry Potter
        2. Chronicles of Narnia
        3. Percy Jackson and the Olympians
        4. Lord of the Rings
        5. Sister’s Grimm
        6. Avalon: Web of Magic
        7. Heroes of Olympus
        8. His Dark Materials
        9. A Tale of Magic- the prequel of Land of Stories
        10. Sea of Trolls

Yep, a lot considering what I just listed
