May Reading Wrap-up

May Reading Wrap-up

May has been a better reading month for me. I think I’m finally out of my slump! β€” I was able to read 8 books in total!

Pages read: 2,984

Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid – Started: 11th April – Finished: 4th May.
This is book #2 in the Game Changers series which I read as an ebook on my Kindle. This was my first MM and hockey romance which I enjoyed but wouldn’t rave about. I won’t be reading any more from the series.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Big Panda & Tiny Dragon by James Norbury – Started: 8th May – Finished: 8th May.
This is book #1 in the Big Panda & Tiny Dragon series which I read physically. This book was so impactful and beautifully illustrated. Easy 5 stars!!! I need to get the 2nd one soon to read.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Killer Instinct by Jennifer Lynn Barnes – Started: 5th May – Finished: 8th May.
This is book #2 in the The Naturals series which I read physically. I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first one and will definitely be continuing on with the series.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

New Moon by Stephenie Meyer – Started: 15th April – Finished: 10th May.
This is book #2 in the The Twilight Saga series which I immersive read. I listened to the audiobook on Audible whilst reading it physically. I enjoyed it like I did the first book but New Moon will never be my favourite as I am Team Edward all the way.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Reckless by Elsie Silver (re-read) – Started: 10th May – Finished: 17th May.
This is book #4 in the Chestnut Springs series which was a physical re-read. I’m re-reading the series so that I can annotate them. This is still my least favourite in the series and my rating stays the same as my previous read.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Starside by Alex Aster (buddy read) – Started: 15th May – Finished: 23rd May.
This is book #1 in the Starside series which I read physically as a buddy read with someone over on Instagram. I absolutely devoured this book and can’t wait until the next one comes out in November!!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The Co-op by Tarah DeWitt – Started: 23rd May – Finished: 28th May.
This is a standalone book which I read physically. This one was very ‘meh’ for me and wasn’t giving me much feels in terms of the romance. I liked it but I didn’t love it…

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Delicious in Dungeon Vol 8 by Ryoko Kui – Started: 29th May – Finished 29th May.
This is book #8 in the Delicious in Dungeon series which I read physically. I’m really enjoying this series but this has been one of the weaker books in the series so far. Some of the stuff happening in the story seemed a little pointless and I was a little bored. Hopefully the next book redeems it for the series.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

This is my cosy corner of the internet dedicated to all things books. I am an avid reader of mainly romance, fantasy, YA and mystery/thriller books. I hope to connect with other readers who share the same love for books that I do!
